🇨🇦 I have been creating my own patterns since I was a very young child,
Long before I ever learned to read a commercial pattern.
You can read my journey of creating in the issue #264, Teddy Bear Times & Friends
Issue #274
My #04 exlarge big bunny ” Hernder “ can be seen down below bottom row middle
In issue # 264
This was such a great honour and opportunity to be published in a Teddy Bear Magazine
It also gave me the opportunity to tell my story of my charitable contribution of 100 Bean Bag Critters and Bears. Since then I have donated over the 100 critters and will continue to have them up for adoption at my select few shows I still can be found at in Ontario. 100% of the funds is donated to the Friends of Beaverdams Church 1832
** My oldest sister gave me my very first Teddy Bear & Friends Magazine many years ago.
For her December 27th Birthday I created a shelf sitting Bear for her . I created it without a pattern but it turned out much like the one on the cover she gave me below.
Along with creating and designing Teddy Bears and Critters I do enjoy woodworking.
One of the many items I created and designed from wood is my rocking horses
I have sold many Horses, Donkeys and Moose’s over the years they are child safe and came in different sizes. I did this
at Art Shows and Festivals across Ontario.
I did design my exlarge bunny series to be displayed on them. Which you can see below and sometimes in my booth
Jasper was #02
The first #01 ExLarge Bunny was Jaxon named after a very special young person
The first time one of my BEAR creations was published in
Issue #262, Teddy Bears Times & Friends
This large “Party Bear”
Has 5x Cotter Pin Joints
German Glass Eyes, Silver Sparkle fabric on the Pads & inside Ears
Stuffed with Canadian manufactured Polyester Fibre
“ Sherbert “ was adopted at the ***Winona Peach Festival just after he made his debut
I was able to be listed in the 2023 Hugglets Teddy Bear Guide

HOLLY is the *Head Gardener
She can usually be found in the Poinsettia Green House trimming the trees and shrubs.Along with creating and breeding new colours. Her favourite is in the traditional RED & GREEN.
These are indigenous to Mexico, Central America all the way to southern Guatemala.
This is where she she first discovered them way back in the 1800’s
She alsew learned from the Aztecs how to use the plant for Traditional Medicine.
HOLLY is very busy during the Christmas Season for approximately 6 weeks she is getting the plants ready for the Annual “ After Christmas Festival “
Each year she tries to come up with a new colour for this event
to enter in the Wreath decorating competition. But her 1st Prize winning Wreath had had the traditional Red &White colours.
MOLLY, is a Confectioner and since the 1800’s she is the
Christmas Ribbon Candy Maker
She definitely has a sweet tooth and loves the rich flavours of Peppermint, Cinnamon & Cloves
Which is what we all think of from Christmas Past.
Originally she would create this beautiful Ribbon Candy by wrapping it around her thumbs.
She has taught this technique to the Candy Factory Elves in the North Pole
But…
In 1886 on a trip to Europe she met Dr Laskey who invented the first hand cranked mechanical Candy Crimper to make the Ribbons.
She still uses this Vintage machine that was created in the 1880’s. And it is safely kept in its original wooden box. It only came out at Christmas time when she would create just enough for the Festival and of course Santa and all the Elves looked forward to their Gift Tins each Year.
Both Holly Molly & their cousin Ivy have been all ADOPTED
You can find more of my WEE FOLK and friends at the few select Juried Shows I do in Ontario Canada
scan the code above to learn more about my creations and how to adopt one or more.
